On the morning of March 28th, at the invitation of unconventional oil and gas hubei collaborative innovation center of Yangtze university, Dr. Huabing Liu gave a wonderful report entitled by "application of nuclear magnetic resonance imaging technology in core analysis of unconventional oil and gas reservoirs" to teachers and students of the university in the meeting room of petroleum science and technology building.

  Dr. Huabing liu first introduced the main structure of NMR core analyzer, including magnet system, rf probe, gradient coil, etc. Later on, the basic principle and application of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imaging were reviewed in detail. Moreover, Dr. Liu shared the main application of NMR in rocks including characterization of shale core porosity and pore size distribution, identification of the core with fluid types and evaluation of the rock wettability, etc. Finally, Dr. Liu answered the questions raised by the teachers and students of the center in detail, such as how to effectively serve domestic shale gas exploitation with nNMR.At the end of the meeting, all attendees took a group photo to mark this spetial occasion。
